   This tour is designed for everyone who is interested in seeing the true beauty Alaska has to offer.  Catching ferries and going to some more secluded spots will allow you to get firsthand knowledge of Alaskan heritage.  Bring your vacation mindset and try to leave the cell phones and computers at home; however, we understand if you can’t.  Please advise us of any allergies, medications, or allergic reactions you might have prior to trip departure.

This Tour Includes

Transportation, Lodging, Meals, & Guides

This tour includes five nights of fabulous hotel and lodge accommodations.  If you choose to include meals breakfast and lunch will be provided by the hotel, lodge, or Alaskan Van Tours.  Vouchers for dinners will be sent out with your conformation package giving a variety of restaurants to choose from in each town.  All transportation is done in a private 15 passenger van and the Alaska Railroad.  Your experienced local Alaskan guide will be there for your support and well being, as well as to help you with day to day decisions and complications that may arise.  Take the advantage of asking questions and getting answers on the spot.

We offer a variety of activities. If any certain day doesn’t interest you ask about customizing your tour and subbing in a different activity. For example: If the tour calls for whale watching and you would rather go Halibut fishing, ask about changing activities.

Anchorage- Leave Anchorage and visit a Raindeer Farm, a Wolf Den, and eat lunch on Lake Lucil. Overnight in Talkeetna.

Talkeetna- Take a River Boat Safari, explore historic Talkeetna, then ride the Alaska Railroad north to Denali. Overnight in Denali.

Denali- Enjoy a Tundra Wildlife Tour into Denali then see a viewing on the Northern Lights. Overnight in Denali.

Denali- Go on a gentle float down the Nennana River, catch the Alaska Railroad to Talkeetna and then dive to Girdwood (Alyeska Ski Resort). Overnight in Girdwood.

Girdwood- Drive to Seward, take a Wildlife Cruise into the Kenia Fjords and then have a Grilled Salmon Buffet on Fox Island. Overnight in Seward.

Seward- Spend the morning at the Alaska Sea Life Center then visit the Big Game Wildlife Refuge. Your tour ends in Anchorage.

Detailed Itinerary  

Pre-Day
After your scenic flight into Anchorage, catch the free airport shuttle and enjoy a nice, quiet night relaxing in the hot tub at the Hotel of your choice.  Get a good night sleep for a full day of adventure starting at 8:00am.       

Anchorage- After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Climb into one of our private vehicles and have your questions answered on the spot through out your entire stay in Alaska. Travel to the Matanuska Valley and stop at a real Reindeer Farm. Next visit Wolf Country USA where you can observe 40 plus wolves. Enjoy lunch at Lake Lucil then drive north to stay in the Talkeetna Lodge with southern views of Mt. Denali from the hot tub.

Talkeetna- Have breakfast and then take a River Boat Safari up the Susitna River with spectacular views of the South side of Denali. Take an hour to visit some of the historic buildings Talkeenta has to offer, have lunch and then ride the Alaska Railroad North to the legendary Town of Denali for more adventure and fun.

Denali- Grab an early breakfast then go on a 6 hour Tundra Wildlife Tour into Denali National Park. to view Mt. McKinley surrounded by vast aura. Wildlife is undisturbed, natural, and unthreatened. Watch bears cross the road, moose gallop in the fields, and eagles soar through the swift mountain breeze. In the afternoon visit the Northern Lights Theatre for a view of the Aurora Borealis. Overnight in Denali.

Day 3 Total- $204-

Denali- Gently float down the relaxing Nenanna River with more opportunity to see wildlife in their natural environment. Catch the Alaska Railroad to Talkeetna then drive to Girdwood in your private van. Over night in Girdwood.

Girdwood-Drive along the Turnagain Arm to

Seward and go on a Wildlife Cruise in the

Kenai Fjords stopping for a Grilled Salmon Buffet

on Fox Island. Observe seals, sea lions, puffin, octopus,

whales, fish and many other species. Overnight in Seward.

Seward- After breakfast spend the morning at the Seward Sea Life Center and learn about the marine ecosystem as scientists share their first hand knowledge with the public. Enjoy a hearty lunch and then drive north to the Big Game Wildlife Refuge; see orphaned black bear cubs, moose, caribou, and grizzly bears. Your tour ends in Anchorage.

Breakfast- $10.00 a day is the pre-paid ration. Vouchers will be sent out with trip itineraries. Breakfast varies from pancakes and eggs to continental.

Lunch- $10.00 a day is the pre-paid ration. Lunch varies from deli style sandwiches, chips and a drink to lunch buffets.

Dinner- $30.00 a day is the pre-paid ration. Vouchers will be sent out with trip itineraries giving you 2-3 restaurants to chose from each night.

Any time your itinerary says "Drive" it is done in one of our private vehicles. Drive time varies, however the longest you will be in motion is 45 minutes at a time with the exception of the Alaska Railroad.

There will always be an Alaskan Van Tours representative available to assist you with any questions or complications that may arise during the course of your stay in Alaska. We put customer satisfaction first.

The hotel chains we use vary from 3-5 star quality depending on availability. With large groups 8 or more, the rate may drop considerably. Houses are also an alternative for such groups. All tours are based on a double occupancy.
